JOY Narratives™ thoughtfully weaves together a framework of biblical principles, neuroscience, self-reflection, one-on-one spousal exercises, and group discussions and accountability to help cultivate healthier and spiritually resilient marriages.
We have developed three core tools within this framework:
Couples attending the workshop use these tools to uncover both positive and negative narratives and evaluate them through a biblical and neuroscience lens. Together, couples learn to amplify the narratives that reflect God’s heart and recalibrate the ones that don’t. Later in the process, couples draw on these insights to build personalized individual and shared narrative battle plans for continued transformation and growth beyond the workshop.
After the Workshop: Narrative Life Groups™
For couples who desire to build on the work they began during the workshop, there may be an opportunity for continued growth through Narrative Life Groups™. These small groups are structured to reinforce the learning gained and the decisions made during the workshop. Within them, couples revisit their stories, practice the skills introduced in the workshop, and deepen their spiritual and relational resilience within a Christ‑centered community. Narrative Life Groups™ extend the impact of the framework—helping couples carry their story work forward with clarity, encouragement, and shared accountability.
